Common questions
What is a good chargeback rate?
Under 0.5 percent is healthy for most merchants, and most processors begin to worry around 0.65 to 1 percent. The card networks set their own monitoring thresholds above that.
What is Visa VAMP?
The Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program, which replaced the older dispute and fraud monitoring programs in 2025. It rolls fraud reports and disputes into a single ratio.
How do I lower my chargeback rate?
Clear billing descriptors, fast support, easy refunds, delivery proof, and pre-dispute alerts that let you refund before a dispute is filed all help. That is a big part of what our loss prevention team does.
